SEE BELOW IF THERE ARE NO STRUCTURES SHOWING!

You can rotate the structures directly with the mouse. The view can be changed using a menu that can be brought up by mousing down on the "MDL" in the lower right corner of the images or by mousing down and holding anywhere on the image (see Chime Instructions).

Use the buttons bleow the images to show special views of the structures (all of which can be manipulated).

If you can't see the structure, you don't have the Chime plug-in

**Examination of 3-D structures requires the the Chime plug-in which is available from MDL Information Systems, Inc. All campus computer labs have this plug-in installed (if you find some without the plug-in please contact Dr. Gasser so he can get it fixed.) **

It is recommended that you use Netscape Navigator (or Communicator) to view the pages. The structures work in Internet Explorer, but many of the buttons to control views are absent.

Images are from Molecules R Us , a site provided by the National Institutes of Health, where you can look up protein or nucleic acid structures by name for display using Chime.
