Laboratory Technician (Junior Specialist):

The Scholey laboratory, a basic science research laboratory in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, has a position for a laboratory technician (at the level of a Junior Specialist), either full-time or part-time. Duties include:

1.  Assistance with fly maintenance.

2.  Technical help in the lab.

3.  Maintaining and ordering stocks and reagents.

4.  Laboratory budget maintenance (in collaboration with departmental accountants).

5. Coordinating equipment maintenance, for example, maintaining warranties and organizing repairs and calibrations.

6.  Maintenance of laboratory computers and web page.

7.  Paperwork for lab employees (timesheets, visa applications, etc. for Post-Docs,  

     Graduate Students, Junior Specialists).
