First general meeting of the school year

    Guest Speakers: Sandy Bogle and Julie Evans, Staff Advisors for MCB Dept.
  • Sandy is the staff advisor for the Biochemistry & Molecular Biology major, and Julie is the staff advisor for the Cell Biology and Genetics majors.
  • Both Sandy and Julie's offices are located in 156 Briggs Hall.
  • Come to the office at least once a year to plan your schedule and keep you on track towards your degree.
  • Students planning to graduate this school year should get a Degree Check at their college office and a Major Check at their major office.
  • Juniors should try to sign up for their upper division UWP class this year. Due to budget constraints, the UWP department is cutting class offerings. Don't wait until the quarter before you graduate to complete your English requirement!
  • Pre-graduate Advising and Health Sciences Advising are located in 111 South Hall.

  • Office is located in Surge IV, Suite 409. You can also call (530) 752-3390 ahead of time to schedule an appointment.
  • URC Services: They offer academic planning, coaching on identifying a faculty research sponsor, and guidance on developing and sustaining a working relationship with faculty research sponsors.
  • Benefits of doing undergraduate research: increased self confidence, gain in practical tools for your education and future career, connections with faculty, and ability to take research methods from the classroom and apply them to real-life situations. It sets you apart from other applicants whether you will be applying to graduate or professional school or intend to go directly into the job market.
