Cash Lab Postdoctoral Researcher

The Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of California, Davis invites applications for one Postdoctoral Researcher in biochemistry and structural biology.

Position Description

A postdoctoral scholar position is available immediately in the biochemistry and structural biology lab of Dr. Jennifer Cash in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at UC Davis. The successful candidate will lead independent research projects focused on understanding regulation of RhoGEF signaling using cryo-EM as a major approach. Projects will include expressing and purifying proteins and performing biochemical, biophysical, and cell-based assays and experiments. The Cash lab is an inclusive environment where emphasis is placed on learning, training, and mentorship. Mentees have the opportunity to direct their own projects with as much or as little guidance as needed for success, with the goal of the mentee becoming mostly independent over time.

UC Davis has a large, interactive group of structural biologists with expertise in crystallography, cryo-EM, and NMR. Onsite equipment and facilities that support these techniques include a Glacios electron microscope and a GP2 plunge freezing device within our BioEM core facility Learn more about the Cash Lab.
